Well if your trying to promote a product then YES! Twitter backgrounds are easy to make if you know what you’re doing. Using the tips in my earlier post “Twitter Backgrounds..how is everyone getting these?” I spoke about the size of your document and little tips to get you started.
If you are not familiar with Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop, you might need to hire an expert…(here come the shameless plug) and who better to hire than me? I have done several backgrounds now for clients and they couldn’t be happier. Remember, if you are on Twitter, you need to be clear about who is visiting your site. Your goal if you have a product should be to sell more of your product. So if someone stumbles upon your page, you want to be clear and to the point regarding what you are all about. A Twitter background is a great way to get that accomplished. Your background should tell a story in a glance about who you are and what your goals are online. This can be done with words or design or both. Even if you are not selling anything, just playing with the backgrounds can be fun!
Once you’ve finished uploading your Twitter Background, I would enter into the running for the best Twitter Background by going to Twitter Backgrounds Gallery. If it’s chosen, your design might end up in the top ten and you can stick your chest out a little more! Plus, you’ll probably get a few more followers!
