Think about this, you have a business and it needs to be marketed to a target audience. It’s quite difficult to explain the benefits and features of your product without sending a 25 page brochure in the mail or getting the prospect to have a 30 minute meeting with you. These things are hard to do in today’s world of limited time. However, everyone has an email account and the more data you can get to a person in a short time frame the better right? Well, today I was reading an article in Target Marketing Magazine today, and was really impressed with the one on Email and Video titled “Email’s Video Renaissance.” The basis of the article is stating that this particular company decided to start a new marketing campaign that included emailing out video’s that took the place of a company brochure. The company is a travel company that did this, but really, any business could do this and be successful.
So imagine, sending a video via email about your product. Could you do a short video enticing a customer or prospect to go with your company over the competition in 3 minutes or less? My guess is yes! With plenty of good photo’s, video of your product and people using your products, and a nice voice over of what the features and benefits are along with a great call to action (what this month’s special is), I would bet that you could increase your current response rate significantly.
So, how do you get started? What if you really can’t afford a high tech videographer to come in and video tape your products? Well, there are plenty of good HD digital video camera’s out there these days, and if you don’t want to do it yourself, there are plenty of freelance marketers who can help you accomplish this for a fraction of the cost while still providing a quality piece of work. You can even load your video to YouTube or Vimeo, which will only increase your SEO (search engine optimization) and your visibility to more prospects.
